And it’s now official. LG has sent out invites for an event it is holding in Delhi on September 30. And the highlight of the show is the official India launch of the company’s latest smartphone, the G2
The company unveiled the device last month, and is currently planning to launch the smartphone in US and Germany this month as well. The company has already been pushing out teasers for the company’s flagship on its offical social media channels. The G2 will be competing with the LIKES of Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and the HTC One.
A quick look at the specifications reveals that the smartphone comes with an 8.9mm and will run on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2. The smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch full HD display and uses Graphic (GRAM) technology to reduce the display’s energy use by up to 26 percent on a still frame. The smartphone comes with a 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC under the hood that sports four Krait CPUs and 2GB of RAM. Rounding up the package for the G2 is a 3000mAh battery.
One of the main features attracting a lot of attention is the design which doesn’t feature any buttons on the edges because the volume and power buttons are placed at the back. The G2 will be available in black and white avatars. There is no official word yet on how much the smartphone will set you back, but estimates place the price tag ranging between the Rs 40,000 and Rs 45,000 bracket.
